The Articles of Association of the Club permit the corporate and individual memberships provided that
  • the corporate member has the status of a bank, financial institution or banking association under its national law

  • the individual member has an expertise in banking or related spheres

New corporate members may be admitted to the Club with a status of either permanent or associated members. Associated members do not have a voting right in the General Assembly and cannot be elected to the Board of Directors of the Club.

  • A natural or legal person wishing to become a member of the Club may apply to the Board of Directors by sending an application to the Secretariat of the Club in Brussels (fax number (322) 374-3282, e-mail: info@bibclub.org ). The original application needs to be sent to the Club by post.

  • The Board of Directors of the Club will examine the application, take a decision within two weeks and inform the applicant thereof.

  • Upon the reception of a positive reply, the applicant will pay the entrance fee and the annual membership fee. After that, it is considered as a member of the Club.

  • A Certificate of member of the BIBC is delivered to the new member or to its representative at the following meeting of the Club.
